English: Chester's Roodee Cross and the City Walls The ancient Roodee Cross stands at the corner of a parish boundary in the middle of Chester's famous racecourse. On the left is a section of the city walls along Nuns Road, and in the corner a flight of steps climbs up to Grosvenor Road near Chester Castle, just seen above the walls, and the Grosvenor Bridge, which is out of sight on the right. |
