DescriptionChiefs take on the challenge (12344908703).jpg |
Saaga’s daughter was cut when she was five years old. She lost a lot of blood. Saaga rushed her to hospital but the blood loss was too great and she died as they arrived. Today he is both a village chief and the secretary of the National Network of Community Leaders Against Female Genital Mutilation. He has successfully advocated for his village to abandon cutting. The UK is working to reduce the practice by 30% in at least 10 countries in Africa in the next 5 years. Find out more about our work: bit.ly/1krV9Qk Take a stand.
