Summary[edit]

Description
English: Christopher Ken Merewether was born in North Bradley, Wiltshire on 26th May, 1890 to the Rev. Wyndham Arthur Scinde Mereweather and Harriot Edith Merewether (nee Fox).
He was educated at Winchester College and Oriel College, Oxford. Christopher Merewether was enlisted in the 4th Battalion, The Duke of Edinburgh’s (Wiltshire Regiment), Territorial Forces.
He fell wounded while leading an assault on a strongly fortified enemy position at El Mesmiyeh and died in hospital at Port Said on December 19th, 1917.
He has memorial in Winchester College and Bradford-on-Avon Holy Trinity Church.
