| Description | I was thinking this is the local fire station in St. John's, judging by the fire trucks parked next door, the red stone and the 'brigade' word on the name plate above the entrance arch. This is actually the Church Lads' Brigade of St. John's. The Church Lads’ Brigade (C.L.B.) was founded in 1891 in London, England. Through the efforts of a young Newfoundlander, Harold Blackler, a CLB Company was started in St. John’s in 1892 - the first CLB overseas unit. Through educational, recreational and social activities, the Brigade aims to help youth develop the necessary skills to become future leaders.
