سنڌي: ٽُوههُ (Bitter Cucumber/ Citrullus Colocynthis ):ول جو هڪ قسم آهي، جنهن جا پن ۽ ول گدري وانگر هوندا آهن. هئڊي رنگ جو ٿيندو آهي، جيڪو واريءَ ۾ ٿئي؛ ذائقو ڪڙو زهر جهڙو ٿيندو آهي. هن ول کي ٿر ۾ ”ٽُوسڻ“ چوندا آهن. هيءُ ول پٽ تي پکڙندي آهي. ان جا ڪڇا ڏهه ٻارهن فوٽ کن ڊگها ٿيندا آهن. ول نرم توڙي سخت زمين تي ٿيندي آهي. ٿر واري پاسي تمام گهڻي ٿئي ٿي. هن ول جو ڦر چٽڪمرو ۽ سائي رنگ جو ٿيندو آهي، جيڪو پچڻ تي پِيلو ٿي پوندو آهي. ٽُوهه ڏسڻ ۾ تمام سهڻا، پر کائڻ ۾ زهر جهڙا ڪڙا هوندا آهن، تنهنڪري چوڻي آهي ته ”ٽوهه ڏسڻ جا سهڻا، پر ڪڙا زهر جهڙا“. هڪ ٻي چوڻي مطابق ”سهڻا ٽوهه پٽن تي پڌرا“. ٽوهن کي ٻڪريون ۽ اٺ مزي سان کائيندا آهن. طبي لحاظ کان تمام ڪمائتي ول آهي. هن جون پاڙون، پن ۽ ٽوهه سڀ پسارڪي وکر طور ڪم ايندا آهن. خاص ڪري ڳوٺن ۾ ٽوهه جو جلاب صحت لاءِ اڪسير چوندا آهن ۽ ڪيترين بيمارين ۾ استعمال ڪندا آهن. |
