Summary[edit]

Description This Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image shows Tropical Storm Claudette looking loosely organized in the Gulf of Mexico south of Louisiana on Monday, July 14, 2003. Though this image shows the outer bands of clouds hanging over the Louisiana coast, the storm was actually headed west. Claudette made landfall over Texas on July 15.
