Summary
[edit]DescriptionCleared embankment, Wilford Lane (2) (geograph 2885525).jpg |
English: The embankment of the former Great Central Railway just north of Wilford Lane, on the eventual site of Wilford Lane tram stop. The embankment has been cleared of vegetation, and is about to be lowered to street level so that the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) tram line can use the alignment whilst crossing Wilford Lane on the level. Compare this photograph with this one, taken on much the same alignment after the NET had opened, as can be seen from the house to the left. |
