| Description |
English: The first seven folios of this book list dedications for Metz churches and indulgences that are unique to that diocese. The city of Metz, situated on the Moselle River, was the cultural and commercial capital of Lorraine during the 1400s. It was also the location of an important bishopric and therefore the center of a growing book trade.
Français : Les sept premiers folios de ce livre énumèrent les dédicaces pour les églises de Metz et les indulgences qui sont uniques à ce diocèse. La ville de Metz, située au bord de la Moselle, était la capitale culturelle et commerciale de la Lorraine dans les années 1400. C'était aussi l'emplacement d'un évêché important et par conséquent le centre d'un commerce du livre en pleine expansion. |
