Summary[edit]

Description
English: View of Betty Watston's Hill, a tumulus at Cliffe, Richmondshire, England, showing the tumulus on the skyline. The tumulus has apparently been excavated, leaving a large, dish-shaped depression in the top - so it was probably originally a much taller mound. It is on a hill behind Kathleen Wood, which itself is on a cliff which runs along the south side of the River Tees. Possibly the tumulus was a landmark which could be seen on the hill from the north of the river before the trees grew up.
