View NW on A52 where it crossed the ex-North Stafford Uttoxeter (left) - Ashbourne (right) line, which closed to passengers from 1/11/54, goods 7/10/63. The line had been in the foreground, overlooked by the most unusually placed signalbox attached to the station house, which has survived as a private dwelling. |
