Summary[edit]

Description The steps leading to the upper tier of the Tham Ting lower cave at PakOu are finally clear, and here I am, climbing to the upper tier. Note the steepness of the steps. Gawd, why do they make them so steep? You can see the cluster of Buddha statues on a ledge at the upper tier as well. Note also the strange chart with various animal pictures, something I'd seen on a food cart in LP town the previous day and thought with horror that it was a menu! Silly me! I never managed to find out what that animal chart was all about right till the end. (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014)
