Description
English: Clipsham Yew Tree Avenue — the "Windmill Yew" (right) and "40th Coronation Anniversary Yew" (left).
  • Located near Clipsham, in Rutland, England.
  • Two examples of topiary yews are shown here: One is in the shape of a windmill, and the other celebrates the 40th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth the second.
  • The avenue (landscape allée) stretches for 500 metres (1,600 ft) across two grid squares, with ~150 shaped yew trees—Taxus baccata topiary lining the carriage drive to Clipsham Hall.
