| Description |
Français : La cloche de quart (ou cloche de navire ou encore cloche du bord) de la frégate « L’Hermione » lancée en 2012 (réplique de la frégate L'Hermione de 1779). Elle a été fabriquée selon un modèle de profil de cloche de quart dessiné dans l’encyclopédie Diderot. Il a fallu adapter les techniques d’aujourd’hui (2015) pour reproduire cette cloche ancienne et retrouver le son qui correspondait à celui des cloches du XVIIIe siècle. Cette cloche de quart a été commandée à la Fonderie Cornille-Havard de Villedieu-les-Poêles (département de la Manche). Sur la frégate, cette cloche est installée juste devant le grand mât. Il y a trois fleurs de lys en relief sur cette cloche, ces fleurs représentent le blason de la couronne de France.
