Description
English: Woodcut of medieval clockmakers titled 'Der Uhrmacher' by Jost Amman, from a 1568 book by German poet Hans Sachs titled 'All the trades on the Earth'. This book consists of a list of 116 medieval trades or jobs, with a woodcut and a verse by Sachs describing each one. It has been republished as Jost Amman and Hans Sachs (1973) Book of Trades, with an introduction by Benjamin A. Rifkin. New York: Dover Publications, Inc., ISBN 048622886X. Alterations to image: replaced transparent background areas with white, converted from GIF to PNG.
