English: Close-up of Basal Grit slabs at Twyn y Glog These rocks have been scraped bare by the passage of ice some 20,000 years ago and have but a sparse vegetation covering even now. Much of Mynydd-y-glog has a very thin covering of soil and vegetation and offers only poor grazing. |
