Object history
English: Coat of arms of the Danish town Nexø on the island of Bornholm. The arms is based on the oldest known seal of the town from 1584 but the design might possibly be older. The symbol is unidentified but is officially described as a boat hook. Fisheries and sailing has traditionally been the main economic activities of the town.
Dansk: Nexøs byvåben, baseret på byens ældst kendte segl fra 1584. Motivet kan dog være ældre. Symbolet er officielt blasoneret som en bådshage. Fiskeri og sejlads har historisk været byens vigtigste erhverv.
