Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cobbinshaw Reservoir. This reservoir sits on high ground (900ft) between West Calder and Carnwath. It was built to feed the Union canal and was also used by passing Steam Trains to collect water. It is 310 acres in size and is as Site of Special Scientific Interest due to Wintering Wilfowl. As you can see it is very popular with Anglers there were about 10 boats on the reservoir when I was there. In the background on the left you can see East and West Cairn Hill in the Pentlands.
