Description
Nederlands: Ceintuur
Met gouddraad geborduurde vrouwenceintuur
Deze ceintuur is onderdeel van het vrouwenkostuum in de stad Fes. Gedragen over het overkleed, Kaftan of Tekshita (lang gewaad met split van voren en lange mouwen). Oorspronkelijk werden deze gordels met goudborduurwerk alleen door joodse vrouwen in Marokko gedragen. Tegenwoordig worden ze ook door niet-joodse Marokkaanse dames in de stad als feestdracht gedragen (info verzamelaar, 1968).

Vervaardiging

De achterkant van de ceintuur is met stevige lichtblauwe katoen beplakt. De sluiting, op de rug, wordt gevormd door een grote metalen haak en oog die op de goede kant van de ceintuur zijn genaaid. Deze ceintuur is het produkt van de gordelmaker.
