English: Colonel Albert Edward W. Goldsmid - High-ranking officer in the British Army. Founder of the Jewish Lads' and Girls' Brigade, and founder and president of the Anglo-Jewish charity, the Maccabaeans. An ardent Zionist, he was chief of the Chovevei Zion of Great Britain and Ireland.
