Summary[edit]

Description
English: This is a cross section through the RGB color cube, as close to the equator of its intensities as possible. It contains all 98,304 relevant colors, plus the 7 of the labels and background. Since the quantity of permissible intensity values is even, there is no single middle value. So this file contains both the closest planes on the high side and the low side of the exact center. All the right-pointing triangles have total intensities of 382, while the left-pointers have 383. This file was made by creating 3 images of a gradient of all possible grays, then copying it twice and rotating the copies 120 degrees clockwise and anticlocwise. Then the 3 images were combined into one as its R, G, and B channels. Then the antialiasing was masked out to show only the relevant 98,304 colors.

The largest circle that can be inscribed in this hexagon represents the highest common chroma for a sweep of all depictable hues in the color cube.
