Français : Certificat d'enregistrement de la Commercial Bank of the Near East Ltd, à Londres, le 23 octobre 1922. La majorité du capital fut souscrit par Grigorios Empedoklis (Γρηγόριος Εμπεδοκλής), fondateur de la Commercial Bank of Greece (Emporiki Bank). Celui-ci confia la direction de la toute nouvelle filiale à son parent et collaborateur Nicolas Christofides, qui en étendit l'activité à Constantinople, à la Suisse et à l'Egypte, où la CBNE fut admise à la Bourse d'Alexandrie dès 1926. |
