| Description |
English: Concrete on the beach View of the concrete walkway on top of the rock groynes. Constructed by the marine contractor Van Oord in partnership with Shepway District Council between March & September 2004. The £13million, 7km coastal defence scheme was designed to protect over 2200 homes at risk from flooding and 700 homes at risk from erosion over the next 50 years along with industrial and commercial property and irreplaceable assets such as the Leas. |
