Summary[edit]

Description
English: A conformal map projection from the globe onto an octahedron. An implementation of the conformal projection from octant to triangle was first worked out by Oscar Sherman Adams at the request of B.J.S. Cahill. Later, L.P. Lee developed an alternative implementation. The code which generated this image can be found at https://observablehq.com/@jrus/conformal-octahedron
