| Description |
Català: Relleu (obra de Gabriel Matas, 1956) i inscripció a la façana del reformat (a càrrec de Gabriel Alomar) casal dels Marquesos de Bellpuig, actualment amb façana a la plaça de les Tortugues, però que abans de la reforma de tota la zona i de la casa mirava a un carreró avui desaparegut. La inscripció, dedicada al record de la Confraria de Sant Jordi, una societat de l'alta noblesa mallorquina, i compresa entre dos escuts, el de Sant Jordi i el de la família Trullols, llavors propietaris de la casa, diu així: Ad Maioricensium sodalitii equitum Sancti Georgii memoriam, necnon ludicrorum equestrium quae olim hoc in loc habita viae Born nomen dederunt. Dat, donat, dedicat anno domini MCMLVI ('A la memòria de la confraria de cavallers mallorquins de Sant Jordi, i també als espectacles eqüestres que un temps tenien lloc aquí i que donaren al carrer el nom del Born. Ho dona, ofereix i dedica en l'any del senyor 1956.') |
