Summary[edit]

Description
English: Aspergillus is a genus of fungi that includes several species known for their characteristic microscopic structures. LPCB (Lactophenol Cotton Blue) staining is commonly used in mycology to observe fungal structures for microscopy Conidia-The are asexual spores produced by Aspergillus. They are typically one-celled, small, and have a distinctive shape, resembling a flask or a round-bottomed glass. Conidia are usually found in chains or clusters at the tips of specialized structures called conidiophores. serigma- arising from the metula of the conidiophore. Vesicle-It is a swollen, often spherical structure at the top of the conidiophore. It serves as the platform from which conidiogenous cells (specialized cells that produce conidia) arise. Conidiophores-They are specialized structures that bear the conidia.
