Stabilendo su s un qualsiasi punto P e determinando la sua polare p rispetto a Delta; si individua, cosi, il piano di contorno apparente di v rispetto a P. Prolungando la polare p fino ad intersecare s, si ha il polo coniugato R di P rispetto a Delta. Determinando il piano di contorno apparente beta di v rispetto ad R, si nota che beta passa per P.
