Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Connolly locomotive shed
Probably of GNR(I) origin, the shed at Connolly serviced diesel locomotives after the end of steam traction on CIÉ in 1963. The two locomotives seen here are of class 001, built by Metropolitan Vickers in 1955 and re-engined by CIÉ in 1971. At left, 006 was withdrawn in October 1984 and scrapped in August 1992, while 014 was withdrawn in November 1994 and scrapped in March 1995.
