Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Shaggy Mane (Coprinus comatus) is a popular edible, but not when it looks like this! This specimen is too far gone to eat. To help preserve fresh samples for a few more days, immerse in water and refrigerate. This species grows solitary or in clumps on lawns, wood chips, and other disturbed places. It also accumulates pollution from the surrounding water and soil, so collect from clean places. #FungiFriday
