Русский: Винтерхальтер, придворный портретист короля Луи Филиппа и императора Наполеона III, особую популярность приобрел в период Второй империи (1852-1870), работая исключительно для высших слоев европейской аристократии. На одном из эрмитажных портретов кисти Винтерхальтера представлена Ольга Эсперовна Шувалова (1838-1869), урожденная княжна Белосельская-Белозерская, жена Петра Андреевича Шувалова, генерал-адъютанта, шефа корпуса жандармов. Хрупкая фигура Шуваловой буквально "утопает" в каскаде пышных складок изысканного платья. Несмотря на то, что художник не ставил перед собой задачу раскрыть психологический характер модели, в строгих чертах задумчивого лица Шуваловой угадываются ум, скромность и сдержанность представительницы одного из древнейших родов России. |
