Description
English: Crags and moorland above Rothbury This area of craggy moorland above Rothbury is very popular for easy, short walks. Part of its popularity is due to the easy tracks created through the Cragside estate that were used by the Armstrong family and their guests as carriage rides. The slopes are sufficiently high above Coquetdale for great views. Pictures never seem to do justice to the colour of the heather at this time of year.
