O Miradouro do Cristo Rei, em Tarouca fica a uma altitude de 919m, e deve o seu nome à monumental estátua que se encontra no alto da povoação. O acesso faz-se pela EN-1173 vinda de Tarouca até ao povoado de Gondomar, depois segue-se uma estrada municipal até ao Miradouro. Ali chegados deparamo-nos com uma paisagem que combina os inúmeros povoados - com Tarouca num plano central - com grandes manchas verdes, sobretudo de pinhal. Junto aos povoados, existem muitas propriedades em regime de minifúndio, com plantações muito diversificada, o que cria uma curiosa teia de cultivos, com um impacto visual positivo. A zona adjacente é marcada pela giesta e pelo mato. A paisagem engloba muitos pinhais (é a vegetação dominante), castanheiros, olivais, algumas vinhas e muitas hortas.
