This triptych is part 1 of a larger project exploring mathematical concepts in the graphics and artistic environment. The end result was used in the classroom, and in Science and Art exhibitions.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The ordering of the symmetry elements that compose the point-group symbols depends on the crystal system to which they are related. There are in total 7 crystal systems, Triclinic, Monoclinic, Orthorhombic, Tetragonal, Trigonal, Hexagonal, and Cubic (or Isometric). Each group describes the relationship between the lattice sides a, b, and c and angles [alpha], [beta], and [gamma].
