Description
Deutsch: Die Elementarzelle der kubisch dichtesten Kugelpackung ist kubisch-flächenzentiert. Jedes Atom wird von zwölf Nachbar Atomen koordiniert. Sechs der Nachbar Atome befinden sich in der selben Schicht (mit B gekennzeichnet). Sie koordinieren das Atom hexagonal. Drei Nachbaratome befinden sich in der Schicht darüber (mit C gekenntzeichnet), drei in der Schicht darunter (mit A gekennzeichnet).
English: The unit cell of the cubic closest packing of spheres is face-centered cubic. Each atom is coordinated by twelve neighboring atoms. Six of the neighboring atoms are in the same layer (labeled B). They coordinate the atom hexagonally. There are three neighboring atoms in the layer above (labeled C) and three in the layer below (labeled A).
