According to the latest census, it has a population of 28,581 people in 5,222 households.also called Mount Makulot or Mount Maculot) is a mountain located in the town of Cuenca in Batangas province, in the Philippines. This mountain is popular among mountain climbers and campers; it is the major tourist attraction of the municipality.[5] Once a part of San Jose, it became an independent town under the name of "Cuenca" in 1876. Its famous tourist attraction Mount Macolod (600 metres (2,000 ft)).[6] Cuenca was founded in 1875 by the decree of the Superior Gobierno issued on August 11, 1875.
