Italiano: Prototipo di cuore artificiale totale "CardioWest 70cc". L'originale è stato impiantato nel dicembre del 2007 in un paziente affetto da insufficienza cardiaca in fase terminale. Il cuore artificiale ha garantito la vita del paziente per 1374 giorni fino al trapianto cardiaco effettuato con successo nel settembre del 2011. Al 2015 1374 giorni rappresentano il periodo più lungo di sopravvivenza con un cuore artificiale. |
