Summary[edit]
DescriptionCup-marked boulder - geograph.org.uk - 1303175.jpg |
English: Cup-marked boulder. At the time of writing, two cup-marked boulders are known from this gridsquare. The one shown here has much more obvious markings than the other, and is described in detail at Canmore (see end-note).
Most of the markings are on the smaller stone that sits on top, but at least two cup marks are also present on the larger boulder that forms the base. For a look at the prominent marks on the upper surface of the smaller stone, see: 1303176. As mentioned above, there is another cup-marked stone in this gridsquare. Its markings are much harder to discern: 1303322. |
