English: Cwm Eigiau Slate Works Abundant structures remain from the working of the slate at this location during the nineteenth century. Sheds and other accommodation are dominated by this strong, enigmatic wall, which is probably the course of an elevated ropeway bringing the raw slate across the river from the quarry levels. |
