PD-LAYOUT; PD-USGOV; PD-USGOV-MILITARY-NAVY. This is a scan of a photo or postcard found in grandfather-in-law's photo album. However, another copy was found on the internet at Destroyer Photo Index DD-225 USS POPE which says it is a USN (gov't work) photo contributed by Joe Radigan, which is likely. So, either grandfather-in-law took the photo over 50 years ago, or USN work. Either way, it's legit for WP. |
