Description
English: Diamant from Karl-Marx-Stadt, which reverted to its pre-1953 name of Chemnitz in 1990. "real bicycles" are extremely rare on the Baltic among the thousands of new hire bikes and temporarily imported ones of holidaymakers. The Diamant cycle factory was in a combine - VEB Textima - which incorporated knitting machinery - Flachstrickmaschinen.
Deutsch: Steuerkopfschild an einem Diamant-Fahrrad aus Karl-Marx-Stadt, hergestellt um 1980. Solche alten Fahrräder sind an der Ostsee unter den Tausenden von neuen Leihrädern eher selten. Die Fahrradfabrik Diamant war Teil des Kombinats VEB Textima, das auch Flachstrickmaschinen herstellte. Karl-Marx-Stadt heißt seit 1990 wieder Chemnitz.
