Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Stadt Horstmar, seit 1975 Stadtteil von Horstmar: „Auf einem von Silber (Weiß) und Blau 15-fach geteiltem Schildgrund, ein aufgerichteter, gold- (gelb) bewehrter und gold- (gelb) gekrönter roter Löwe.“ Das Wappen ist abgeleitet von dem der Herren von Horstmar, welche die Stadt im Jahre 1269 gründeten.
English: „A fifteenfold barry Argent and azure shield, thereupon an armed and crowned Or lion rampant gules.“ The arms were granted on March 1st, 1939. The arms are derived from the arms of the Lords of Horstmar, who had founded the city in 1269.
