Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Breitscheid, seit 1975 Stadtteil von Ratingen:
„In Gold (Gelb) ein springendes schwarzes Pferd.“
Im Jahre 1938 verlieh der Oberpräsident der Rheinprovinz der Gemeinde das Wappen. Das durch den Heraldiker Wolfgang Pagenstecher geschaffene Wappen sich auf die bis 1814 nachgewiesenen Wildpferdevorkommen auf Breitscheider Gebiet.

English: „Or, an horse forcené sable.“ The arms were granted in 1938. The arms remember on the till 1814 existing wild horses in the area arrond Breitscheid.
