Object history
Deutsch: Im 18. Jahrhundert soll ein Eimer als „redendes" Dorfzeichen verwendet worden sein. Die Siegel der Gemeinde zeigten seit 1811 den badischen Wappenschild allein oder neben einer Getreidegarbe. Das Wappen wurde im Jahre 1911 vom Generallandesarchiv vorgeschlagen und von der Gemeinde angenommen. Es greift das Siegelbild des 19. Jahrhunderts auf. Der badische Schrägbalken zeigt die jahrhundertelange Zugehörigkeit Eimeldingens zu Baden an, die Garbe ist ein Symbol für den früher rein landwirtschaftlichen Charakter des Ortes. Die Weintraube, zur Unterscheidung vom Wappen einer benachbarten Gemeinde den Siegelmotiven hinzugefügt, symbolisiert den Weinbau im Ort. Das zunächst in „natürlichen" Farben gehaltene Traubenmotiv ist später rein grün tingiert worden. Die Flagge wurde am 26. November 1993 vom Landratsamt Lörrach verliehen.
