Object history
Deutsch: Der Schwan bezieht sich auf eine Legende. Im 15. Jahrhundert rastete eine Gruppe von Sinti und Roma bei Eisenbach und machte ein Feuer. Sie sahen Schwäne und wollten sie jagen. Die Schwäne gerieten in Panik, flogen ins Feuer, fielen auf die Dächer von Eisenbach und setzten so das Dorf in Brand. Als Erinnerung für künftige Generationen zeigten die Eisenbacher den Schwan.
English: The swan refers to a legend. In the 15th century a group of Sinti and Roma rested near Eisenbach and made a fire. They saw swans and wanted to catch them for food. The swans got panic and flew into the fire and soon they fell on the roofs of Eisenbach and set the town in fire. As a reminder for future generations, the Eisenbachers displayed the swan.
