Deutsch: In der Gemarkung von Erlenbach liegt die Burg Berwartstein auf rotem Sandsteinfels, ein pfälzisches Afterlehen. Die rechte Schildhälfte mit der Burg erinnert in den Farben schwarz und gold an die pfälzischen Oberlehensherren. Der Rabe in der linken Schildhälfte ist dem Familienwappen der Familie von Drott, den langjährigen Inhabern des Berwartsteins und Herren über Erlenbach, entnommen; der Erlenzweig schließlich ist eine redende Figur für Ortsnamen. Die Farbe des Ringes wird in der Verleihungsurkunde von 1950 nicht beschrieben, die Zeichnungen haben ihn in Gold; zeichnerische Änderung stellt eine heraldische Verbesserung dar und steht nicht im Widerspruch zur Genehmigungsurkunde. |
