Description
Deutsch: Wappen der früheren Gemeinde Kellen seit 1969 Stadtteil von Kleve: „Im roten Felde eine goldenes (gelbes) gleicharmiges Kreuz, das schwarz konturiert mit einer aus einer Wolkendecke herausragenden Segenshand belegt ist.“
Es handelt sich um die Hand des heiligen Willibrord, dem Schutzpatron der ältesten Kirche Kellens (Kreuz). Die Farben stehen für die frühere Zugehörigkeit zum Herzogtum Kleve (goldene Lilienhaspel auf rotem Schild).
English: „Gules, a latin cross Or, charged with a hand for oath sable above a cloud sable.“
The arms show the hand for oath from the patron saint of the village, Willibrord. The colours are derived from the Duchy of Cleves
