Object history
Deutsch: Der Ort gehörte bis 1803 zu den Landstäben der Reichsstadt Zell am Harmersbach. Erst nach dem Anfall an Baden beginnt die eigene Siegelführung der Gemeinde, deren erster Prägestempel mit der Umschrift SIGILUM DER KURBADISCHEN VOGTEI NORDERACH 1805 und dem badischen Schrägbalken im vorderen Feld eines gespaltenen ovalen Schildes auf die neuen politischen Verhältnisse Bezug nimmt. Die linke Schildhälfte zeigt den Heiligen Ulrich, den Patron der Pfarrkirche. Später bildet der Heilige Ulrich das alleinige Wappenbild. Die Wappenzeichnung der einzelnen Stempel variiert und ist von unterschiedlicher Qualität. Die heute maßgebliche Darstellung und Tingierung beruht auf einem Vorschlag des Generallandesarchivs aus dem Jahre 1900.
