Deutsch: Der springende Hund ist das redende Wappensymbol der Familie Hundt, die die Hofmark Püchersreuth von Mitte des 17. bis Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts innehatte. Das rote Gitter im Schildfuß ist aus dem persönlichen Wappen des Waldsassener Abtes Nikolaus Eppenreuther (1419-1433) übernommen und erinnert an eine prominente Persönlichkeit aus Eppenreuth, einem Gemeindeteil von Püchersreuth. Die Tingierung in Silber und Rot, den Farben des Klosters Waldsassen, unterstreicht den bedeutenden Einfluss des Klosters im Gemeindegebiet.
