Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Ramsdorf: „In blau eine mit gelbem Kreuz besteckte gelbe Ramme.“ Das sogenannte "redende Wappen" (Ramme = Ram) basiert auf einem Siegel des 14. Jahrhunderts. Der eher einer Glocke ähnelnden Ramme wurde später ein Kreuz hinzugefügt.
English: The arms show a canting block (Ram). This symbol was already used in the oldest seal of the city dating from the 14th century. The symbol never changed during the centuries, although it started to look more like a big bell than a ram. When the cross was added is not clear.
