Deutsch: Das von Fritz Reimann aus Fuhrbach entworfene Wappen wurde vom niedersächsischen Ministerium des Inneren am 14. Februar 1951 genehmigt. Es weißt auf die im Gemeindegebiet liegende Rhumequelle sowie auf die seit jahrhunderte alte Tradition des Forellenfangs hin.
