Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Rünthe, seit 1966 Stadtteil von Bergkamen: „Schräg geteilt von Gold (Gelb) und Schwarz; oben ein in drei Reihen je achtfach geteilter in Rot und Silber (Weiß) geschachter Balken, unten ein silberner (weißer) Ring darin ein silberner (weißer) sechszackiger Stern.“
Das erst 1961 entstandene Gemeindewappen zeigt den märkischen Schachbalken als Zeichen der früheren Zugehörigkeit zur Grafschaft Mark; der Ring stammt vom Wappen der Herren von Altenbockum, frühere Besitzer von Haus Rünthe und der Stern entstammt dem Wappen derer von Aden.
English: „Per bend Or a fess chequy Gules and Argent of three eightfold parted; sable a ring Argent within a six rays Argent.“
The arms were granted in 1961 and show the fess chequy from the County of Mark. The ring is derived from the arms of the Lords of Altenbockum, owner from "Haus Rünthe" and the star is derived from the arms of the Lords of Aden. |
